Kegel8 Glide Gold Vaginal Probe
- Recommended for women with a low cervix because it slides under allowing good connectivity with the pelvic floor muscles when you are in a sitting position
- Our widest probe - best for women just starting out and those suffering with weak vaginal muscles or vaginal laxity
- Recommended for use with a pelvic organ prolapse. The probe is specially designed to fit safely and easily, giving the user optimal comfort and ease of use
Which probe is best when you have a pelvic organ prolapse?
We recommend using the The Kegel8 Glide Gold Vaginal Probe, as it has no hollows that can tug and snag causing discomfort. The scoop design offers support to your prolapse while you exercise your pelvic floor.
If you have a prolapse, it is often easier to insert the probe when you are lying on your back with a pillow under your bum or lower back. In this position the prolapse will not be putting pressure on the probe and it is therefore easier to insert.
Which probe should I use if mine is too big?
If you are struggling to insert the probe that came with your Kegel8 Electronic Pelvic Toner, you may consider purchasing a smaller one.
The best small probes to use vaginally are the Kegel8 Gold Comfort Probe (6.5cm insertable) and BEACMED Perisphera O Perineal Probe (7.5cm insertable). Both are gold plated which offers you protection from nickel allergies and provides faster results.
Our slimmest probe is the Slim Pelvic Toner Internal Probe (7cm insertable), which can be used anally or vaginally. If you wish to use it vaginally we recommend you speak to our Customer Care team to discuss further, as some women find this probe too small to stimulate the muscle bed effectively.
You may wish to use skin electrode pads with the Kegel8 Ultra 20 Electronic Pelvic Toner if you struggle to use the smallest probes.
Probes to use for nickel allergies
Many of our vaginal probes have gold plated electrodes (the metal part). These are not only recommended for those with nickel allergies. Gold electrodes also give a more effective electrical stimulation so you’ll get better results.
I don’t feel any sensation with my probe, or can only feel it on one side
If you are struggling to feel a good sensation from your Kegel8 Electronic Pelvic Toner, try our Kegel8 KE GEL Kegel Exercise Lubricant. Squeeze just a small tear size amount directly onto the electrodes (gold parts) of your probe. This helps to conduct the electrical impulses into the muscles, which will strengthen the exercises and provide quicker results.
We also recommend sitting up while doing your exercises to help the probe connect with the muscle bed correctly.
If you have already followed this advice and are still having problems, it is possible that you may have nerve damage. This is very common with women that have had children and is nothing to worry about. Simply set up your mA according to the side you can feel it the most at.
We also offer dual channel probes which will allow you to increase the mA on each side separately:
- Perisize Nickel Free Vaginal Probe
- BEACMED Perisphera H Perineal Probe
- BEACMED Perisphera U Perineal Probe
- BEACMED Perisphera-A Anal Probe
By the end of your first 12 weeks using your Kegel8 Electronic Pelvic Toner, you should feel a good sensation on the undamaged side of your pelvic floor.
